Interim Executive Director Announcement
I would like to take a moment and tell you a little bit about myself. I am a graduate of the University of Valley Forge. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry. During my college years I worked at the YMCA in the after school care program. Post-graduation I worked at Carlisle Christian Academy for 15 years. During those years I taught English, health, speech, Bible, and other classes to middle and high school students. I was also the athletic director, activities coordinator, student advisor, and much more. Following there I worked at Pennsylvania Counseling and then the Boys & Girls Club. Since being a part of BGC I have been the Site Director at the Shippensburg Club and the Executive Assistant.
I am honored to serve the Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg & Shippensburg as the Interim Executive Director as our board looks to fill this roll. I have been a part of BGC for a year and a half and have come to have a special place in my heart for this organization and its mission. My goal is to continue pursuing the mission to serve kids in Chambersburg & Shippensburg and to help BGC continue to make its mark in the area until a new Executive Director is hired.
If you have any questions about this transition or the Boys & Girls Club in general, please feel free to contact me at email@example.com.

Dear Boys and Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg Supporters:
The past five years has ushered in significant advancement in our local club. We’ve restructured our operations to more efficiently and effectively meet our chartered mission and we’ve developed a long term strategic plan. The health of our club in terms of financial support and participation in our community has improved dramatically. As you remember, it wasn’t long ago that our organization was standing at the crossroads of a distressed economy, and welcoming a new management team. While we can always continue to improve, and add to our services, we are in a great positon today due to the solid leadership of our Executive Director.
It is therefore, with mixed emotions that I share with you that Cressa Coldsmith, has decided to start a new chapter in her career and will be stepping down as the Executive Director of our clubs. We here at the Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg wish her nothing but the best as she moves on in her profession. We can’t thank Cressa enough for the wonderful job she has done during her tenure. The positive impact she has made on our members and the communities we serve cannot be overstated, and will help keep our organization moving forward for years to come. She will most definitely be missed.
The board of directors has already started the process of searching for a new Executive Director. We are confident that we will find an individual that will continue the quality club experience that our members have come to expect and help lead us into the future. In the interim, our clubs will continue to operate without interruption. The BGCCS board and staff, as well as Cressa, are committed to helping make this transition as smooth as possible.
I want to personally thank all of our supporters and hope that you will continue your support of our clubs. We will be sending out our yearly Supporting Partners letter very soon. Please take the time to look it over and consider how you can continue to help us meet our financial obligations now and into the future.
Rich Capozzi, Board President
